Refund & Payment Policy

1. Payments & Billing

  • Base fare: From $20 per ride (within 5 km).

  • Additional distance: $1.80 per km thereafter.

  • Sibling add-on: Discounted rate when multiple children ride together.

  • Ride packages: 10-ride packs available with a 10% discount.

  • A one-off $15 registration fee applies per child profile.

  • All services must be paid in advance via secure third-party processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, or other approved payment providers).

  • Late payments may result in suspension of service until cleared.


2. Refund Policy

  • All payments are non-refundable once made.

  • The registration fee is non-refundable, even if services are not used.

  • No credits or refunds will be issued for missed rides due to illness, school closures, public holidays, or personal scheduling changes.


3. Cancellations

  • Single ride cancellations: Must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled ride to avoid being charged the full fare.

  • Terminating service: Requires two weeks’ written notice via email to info@kidsshuttle.nz.

  • Failure to provide notice will result in:

    • A $20 cancellation fee, and

    • One additional week of ride fees charged.


4. Additional Charges

  • No-show fee: $10 if a child is not at the pickup point within 10 minutes of the scheduled collection.

  • Drop-off return fee: $10 if the driver must return later because no authorised adult was available at the first drop-off attempt.


5. Liability Waiver

By using Kids Shuttle NZ services, you acknowledge that transporting children carries inherent risks.

Kids Shuttle NZ and its parent drivers are not responsible for injuries, damages, or incidents occurring during transport, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
