Kids Shuttle NZ is a safe, reliable transport service supporting children, families and local groups.

We provide personalised, door-to-door transport with trusted, police-vetted drivers, clear parent communication and secure pickup and drop-off arrangements.

In addition, we can consider regular school routes, after-school activities, one-off family trips, group transport, events and longer-distance shuttle requests.

Our regular routes currently begin around the Hibiscus Coast and surrounding areas. These include Orewa, Red Beach, Silverdale, Millwater, Milldale, Stanmore Bay, Manly, Whangaparāoa, Gulf Harbour, Army Bay, Dairy Flat and Wainui.

However, every route is reviewed individually based on timing, capacity, demand and driver availability.

If you don’t see your suburb, you can still submit a route request or join our waitlist. This helps us understand where families would like Kids Shuttle NZ to grow next.

One-off, event and longer-distance transport requests are also not limited to our regular Hibiscus Coast routes.

First, submit your route, timing and passenger details through our route quote form.

Next, we review the route for location, timing, safety requirements, capacity and driver availability.

If the route can be supported, we will confirm the next steps and send the required onboarding information.

Once the route is approved, regular families confirm the rides needed for the following week. Payment in advance then secures the child’s booked seat.

We aim to keep pricing clear and transparent. Therefore, your estimate is calculated using your route distance, number of rides, schedule and number of passengers.

Current route-estimate settings include:

• Regular route estimates starting from NZ$23 per ride.
• The first 15 km from our Stanmore Bay base included in the base estimate.
• Additional distance beyond 15 km calculated at NZ$2 per kilometre.

Family and sibling options may include:

• A NZ$5 sibling discount for each additional child travelling together on the same ride.
• A one-off registration and onboarding fee for each child.
• A two-week booking discount where that option is selected and available.

Finally, pricing is confirmed after we review the distance, timing, route fit and current availability.

Regular families receive a weekly invoice based on their confirmed rides and route arrangement.

As a result, payment is made in advance to secure the child’s seat and allow the following week’s routes to be finalised.

Available payment instructions are included on the invoice.

Yes. Regular weekly routes are prioritised because they allow us to provide consistent drivers and reliable planning.

In addition, casual, one-off and extra rides can be requested. These requests are considered based on route timing, vehicle capacity and available driver coverage.

Group transport, events, airport transfers and longer-distance trips are quoted individually.

In addition, these forms help everyone understand the route, safety requirements, communication process and booking terms.

Yes, where the route and care requirements can be safely supported.

For example, we review the child’s age, comfort, booster or car-seat requirements, handover arrangements and any additional travel support they may need.

We then confirm whether the route and vehicle can safely support those requirements.

Once your route is confirmed, the relevant driver and key pickup and drop-off details are shared with you.

Furthermore, Kids Shuttle NZ uses trusted, police-vetted drivers and clear parent communication throughout the process.

Where possible, we also aim to provide familiar and consistent drivers for regular routes.

Please let us know as early as possible so the driver and route can be updated.

Because a seat and driver capacity are reserved specifically for your child, booked rides are generally non-refundable once the weekly route has been confirmed.

However, future weekly days can be adjusted when your regular schedule changes, subject to route and capacity availability.

Children are only handed over according to the authorised arrangements provided by the parent or guardian.

If no authorised adult is available:

• We will contact the parent or emergency contacts.
• The child will remain safely supervised while further instructions are confirmed.
• The driver may need to complete the remaining route before attempting another drop-off.
• A return, waiting or late-handover fee may apply in accordance with the booking terms.

In an emergency, the driver will:

1. Stop in a safe location as soon as reasonably possible.
2. Call 111 when emergency assistance is required.
3. Notify the parent or guardian and Kids Shuttle NZ management as soon as possible.
4. Continue supervising and supporting the child until the correct handover takes place.
5. Complete the required incident documentation and follow-up process.

Yes. Kids Shuttle NZ operates with appropriate commercial vehicle insurance for the transport services we provide.

Furthermore, we maintain relevant business liability cover. We also ensure that vehicles meet the required road, licensing and Certificate of Fitness standards.
